SEVEN TEAMS YOU NEVER KNEW WON THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Like the world cup, the European Cup or Champions league is the biggest football competition in club football.
The competition which has lasted for decades is one of the most difficult to win, due to the presence of a lot of talent from world class football teams.
Victory and the power to engrave your name on the wall of giants requires a very talented, Co ordinated and perfectly skilled team.
But we can always say that it also takes a little bit of luck to win this competition. However looking at the stats of teams who have won the competition previously, everyone might as well think that luck is the only important ingredient.
Today we would be looking at 5 teams you never knew have won the Champions league.
FC Steaue Bucuresti 1985/1986
In the 1985/1986 season, this small team from Romania defeated the Spanish giants of camp nou in sevilla, the match stood at a tie till the 90th minute, they then had a wonderful penalty shootout to decide the winner.
Surprisingly all barca's penalty kicks where saved by Bucuresti Goal keeper "Helmut Dakadan". It was after this incredible match he won the great title "THE HERO OF SEVILLA".

The Germans HAMBURG fc team got another opportunity three seasons later, when they faced off Italian giants Juventus in a 1:0 tie.
With former fulham coach FELIX MAGATH scoring for the team to lead them to their first European Cup competition.
Nottingham Forest
This mid-game champions team, was once considered as the best European Cup champions.
In the year 1978/1979 they won the competition back to back after defeating Malmo 1:0 in the final. They also eliminated Liverpool in the first round 😕.
They continued their rain as the raining champions in the following season by defeating HAMBURG SV.

Due to their dominance in their countries local football the Scottish giants have ventured into European football.
However they were not too successful, but in the 1966/167 season they edged Inter Milan and won twice in their three seasons in the Champions league.

Maybe they had the right quantity of luck🤔.
MONEY IS TIME......... @milezofplay
Another interesting topic for a post. This shows you how hard it is to stay at the top as all of these teams have slid down the pecking order over time. Just because you are a big club doesn't mean you can stay there as look at Barcelona and Man Utd.
Thank you..
Cool post for those not old enough to witness the domination of some teams on this list especially on q domestic level. I remember doing some research on Nottingham and how amazing their feat was. It was a golden generation of players in the years you couldn’t simply bankroll success but they wernt willing to pay the players and they all began to go seperate ways
Thank you for reading..
Wow they are so many surprising entries here
