Made to retreat by… warm weather. My Actifit Report Card: December 25 2023
Sometimes weather makes me shorten my hiking route. It usually happens due to a thunderstorm, strong winds or too much snow. Today I had to change my destination due to… too warm weather.
It started easy, without any snow. Above 750m asl there was some wet and melting snow (temperatures approaching 10°Centigrade). When we reached about 850m asl, the route was becoming impassable. Each step meant sinking in wet snow and underneath a surprise - water. We pressed on but it was getting only worse. So we decided to retreat and did instead a loop in the lower parts, without snow.
I did the enjoy the hike - good to be #AliveAndThriving and… made enough steps for @poprzeczka. Hope it’s also enough for today’s match in @macfit.
