Winter hike. My Actifit Report Card: November 18 2023
Yesterday I had promised winter photos. Well, the amount of snow and weather conditions exceeded my expectations and forecasts. I have only white pictures from today’s hike.
It snowed all day with varied intensity. When we go up to 1200m asl, we basically ploughed thru the snow.
We (5 humans and a dog) did 25km with 1400m of total elevation gain. Normally a good hike, but with the snow and weather, it felt much more. On the other hand, we did the route without pauses - too cold when one stops walking. The elapsed time was 7:30hrs - quite surprised given the conditions. Feels very #AliveAndThriving

piękna zima na 1200m, a wystarczy zejść na 400m (10km szlakiem) by pani na stacji benzynowej nie wierzyła, że w jej okolicy padał śnieg ;-)

the first half of Sunday was great. Then a snow blizzard at midday was terrible, but short. But in the afternoon we returned to the wet, nasty, autumn reality of the lowlands...
