Duck family. My Actifit Report Card: May 23 2022

During my walk along the river I observed a happy duck family. Mom-duck and 4 chicks were eating water plants. The Mom looked after the youngsters, making sure they are not lost. Dad-duck, meanwhile, was sitting on the river bank opposite them, , clearly on watch. If any danger had appeared, he would have either defended his family or distracted the would-be attacker by flying away. Male ducks are colourful and easily visible. Female ducks aren’t spectacular and can easily hide in the riverbank plants. What a beautiful family sight. Hope they are #AliveAndThriving!
