The carnaval spirit is in the air!

This afternoon, my friends and I canvassed our village, armed with bags overflowing with our annual Carnaval magazine.

What a delightful experience it turned out to be!

Despite the lingering winter chill, the glorious sunshine was a welcome gift.

The warm rays kissed my face, a much-needed dose of vitamin D after weeks of gray.

Tourists strolled through the village, and even the local animals seemed to bask in the sun's reappearance after the recent fog and clouds.

This adorable cat greeted me at one doorstep.

Though no one answered, the friendly feline's head nudge was a charming consolation.

Sunshine truly brings out the best in everything.

My step counter ticked steadily upwards, but when you're enjoying the walk, the exercise is effortless.

My attention was captivated by the village's subtle transformation, the first hints of spring's arrival.

Next month, my favorite season officially begins – although whether you mark it on March 1st (meteorological) or March 20th (astronomical), I always lean towards the latter.

After selling my share of magazines, I returned home to a pleasant surprise: a visit from Prince Carnaval himself!

He was also out selling magazines and I was honored to receive my copy directly from him.

We're looking forward to many more wonderful carnaval days together (and tomorrow brings the next one!).

Between this morning's boxing class and my afternoon walk, my step count is impressive, and I can end the day feeling truly satisfied.
