My Actifit Blog: February 17 2024, Saturday.
Today was a really special day for my family and me. I got to show my kids, Rez and Eiona, something really cool that we do in our family—it's like a tradition. We went to help my dad with farming, which is a big deal for us. Even though it was raining a little bit in the morning, we didn't let that stop us. I was a bit worried we might have to put off planting the upland rice because of the rain. But guess what? The rain stopped, and by 8 in the morning, it turned into a beautiful, sunny day. That made us all happy and excited as we sat down to eat breakfast, knowing we had a fun day ahead.
After we finished eating, it was time to head to my dad's farm, which isn't too far from our house—just a quick walk, really. Even though it was a short trip, we were all buzzing with excitement. Working on the farm isn't just about doing chores; it's about learning where we come from and how important it is to work hard.
We did a lot of things on the farm, and it felt really good. I wish I could tell you every little detail right now, but it's late, 11 pm, and I'm pretty tired. I promise to share the whole story later. Another piece of great news made today even more special—my son, Rex, got to come home from the hospital. We were all so happy to have him back. And to top it all off, my wife got home before we were done with all the farming stuff.
So, today was filled with a bunch of small, happy moments that mean a lot to us. It was about spending time with family, enjoying nature, and learning some life lessons. And all of this happened while we were helping out on my dad's farm. It's days like these that remind us of the important things in life, like family, hard work, and caring for each other.
