Welcome Back, Football!
Finally, we are back in business, and it's good to be back. I'm not really a fan of long football breaks - especially whenever it coincides with Formula 1's annoying break. However, I can't ask those well paid professionals to play high intensity football all year round, else they will crumble. But the fact is they nearly played all year round.
From the season ending in June to some international tournaments back to preseason and then the new season, the workload is much. Will FIFA have pity on these guys and reduce their playtime? We already saw a manager withdraw arguably his best player because of 'tiredness' and precautions.
Back to today's business, the last weekend delivered intense entertainment. I didn't bother to watch City's game against Burnley. But, Arsenal dudes, what's up with Kai Havertz? After the laboured 2-1 win against Forest, some dudes already started blaming the whole world for conspiring against them. Common guys, don't be so insecure; the season just started. And the Community Shield win against City should give you guys a mental edge, right? I dey here dey laugh una!
Another Pulsating Encounter
Chelsea and Liverpool matchups are always highly anticipated and weird. The unbelievable amount of pulsating draws these two have put together is incredible. Asides the end-to-end stuff, this match typified the exact state of both struggling giants. Mac Allister played the No 6 role for Liverpool, which is evidently not his best position. Poch surprised us all by going with wing backs instead of full backs. Whichever way, both teams obviously need to strengthen.
FPL
Like the popular saying goes, nobody wins the FPL on GW1, but you can definitely lose it right there and then. With most teams spotting identical lineups, this is not the time to start worrying about positions. Asides those who got the last minute insider memo to swap some assets not on the starting line up, you'll probably share at least 6 starting players with your H2H rival. So, for now, calm down, enjoy the early ride, and think ahead. The season is only three days old!
I love football but only with the Legend Football Club in Korea, Gentleman's League hahaha
I do love variety shows and they just happen to have football. I don't know Liverpool or Chelsea but I do know Ronaldo and Messi.🤭
I just joined Hive World Cup but I dunno anything so I am not winning Lol
💛Made my way here through #dreemport. #Dreemerforlife
You joined a tournament without knowing zilch about it? 😂😂😂
Yeah, it's @tengolotodo initiative to let me try it hahaha I guessed some but mostly wrong hahaha
In due time you'll get the hang of it. Nice try though, keep at it.
Not a fan of football. I stopped being a fan when I almost had a high blood pressure when the team I selected almost lost in a penalty. Hahaha, but they won anyway. Just told myself football is not for you boy, I may just die with high blood pressure and I quit.
#dreemerforlife
That's the passion and anxiety associated with the beautiful game. Trust me, you'll come back to loving it.
I don't think so . Hahahaha.
I cannot laugh o
You mean it?
Omoh, I hate whatever puts me in depression o. Football are for real men and I doubt if I'm one
Hahaha 🤣 I can't laugh. Why are blaming the world because they lost in the match??
They should be more interested in working on themselves to do better next time and not looking for who to blame.
#Dreemerforlife.
No mind dem jare. Before the match they were all pumped up and talking about winning 3-0 o. After their underwhelming performance ehn, na so so blame game. I dey here for them this season!
You don't win it on GW 1 yes, but you do lose it, last year I lost it and never recovered and come October had given up 🤣
I experienced same last year and spent the remainder of the season doing catch ups. I lost interest and was missing deadlines, delaying transfers until they gain or lose value. I even missed playing my chips at the right time. Had to use them in the last three GWs of the season just for the sake of using it.
