Pep Really Needs To Leave
The narrative was supposed to have shifted. By now we should be talking about the fact that Man City will not be champions of the English Premier League for the fourth consecutive year. But, following another weekend where the contenders failed to take advantage and open a significant points gap over City, it all looked scripted.
Last season, Arsenal were City's closest challenger. With Liverpool joining the race this time, it felt like we were finally about to enjoy an intriguing triple-threat title race. Two home draws against a beleaguered Man United - that was well beaten by lowly West Ham - and then, Arsenal now feels like a writing on the wall - it's only a matter of time before City chase down and overtake the competition.
Asides City's supporters, everyone else has probably gotten tired of Pep Guardiola's chokehold on English football. Defeating him this time looks like a collective wish. However, with the challengers incredible ability to wilt just when City's power looks to be waning, that collective wish may not come to pass just yet.
It's not a hidden fact that Pep's City are always monstrous in the second half of the season. And with the lethal duo of Haaland and De Bruyne already on standby to resume the partnership that pulled apart several well-built defensive structures last season, it just feels like it's a matter of time before City goes around lording over everyone like they are used to.
Who is going to save us from this incredible winning machine of a team?
A win by either Arsenal or Liverpool could've opened a points gap over City that would require at least three games to cover. Instead, both teams contrived to share the points and leave the backdoor ajar for City to barge in. Just like we do say down here, " a goat that's not offered to the gods, the gods kill it. Now imagine what the gods will do to the one directed placed on their laps." Even at the opposition's absolute best, it will be hard to stop City, not to talk about when they are giving away points carelessly.
I guess I will need to meet fans of La Liga and Bundesliga teams that are not Barcelona, Madrid and Bayern Munich to explain how to cope with this misery of watching one team beat the crap out of every other team, year-on-year. Even at that, it still won't match up. The two Spanish teams and Bayern are incredibly richer than their rivals. How do you explain the EPL where about five teams are as rich as City? Yet, none measure up to Man City.
We may have to protest against City to tell Guardiola to leave if we want peace in the EPL😂. That dude has turned the league to his personal playing ground. Annoyingly, it feels like Guardiola is toying with us at the moment.
Yay! 🤗

Thank you for the wishes.
Marry Christmas, #dreemer.
I like the fact you wrote Manchester City will be monstrous in the second part of the season. I told my brother that this City team that seems to be struggling now will go on a 10-match winning streak next year. Manchester City are going to win the league without a doubt, all we have to do is relax and watch, for the other clubs and supporters and I am sorry to say your hopes will crash 🙂
Hopes are crashing already. By the time Haaland and De Bruyne returns, those City guys will wipe the floor with everyone else. It's just so frustrating.
