Fantasy5

With the Premier League season well and truly underway, one of the features that has made the league a great watch is the Fantasy Premier League. I'm pretty sure lots of people here know about FPL so I won't be dwelling on it. Thus, the topic of discussion today is a modification of the FPL named Fantasy5.

A clear concept modelled after the FPL, the catch here is the grand prize, a whopping £10,000 every week. However, grabbing that prized money is easier said than done. Very few guys have laid their hands on that handsome prize since the game began a couple years back so, don't get your hopes up.

In Fantasy5, five Premier League matches are selected by the system with each participating player in the teams assigned points target. You have to choose one player per match that you are confident will beat his points target. If all the five players chosen in that week beats their assigned points target, £10,000 is yours! Simple, right?

Now, to the technicalities. Saturday's match between Chelsea vs Tottenham is one of the games the system chose for Week 2. All the players in both teams will be assigned points targets that require wonderful performances to beat.

Points calculation is the same as in the real FPL, except the bonus point system doesn't exist in Fantasy5. For example, Sterling is the player I chose to beat his target for the Chelsea vs Spurs game. His points target is 7.5. To best that, Sterling must score (5 points for a midfielder), play over 60 minutes (2 points) and Chelsea must keep a clean sheet (1 point for a midfielder) to have 8 points (5+2+1).

Or, if Sterling scores twice (2x5=10 points) he beats that target emphatically. Likewise, if he produces two assists (3x2=6 points) and plays over 60 minutes (2 points), he will tally 8 points which is over the 7.5 points target.

Total knowledge of the points allocation system in the FPL is very crucial here. And, in a lot of cases, your selections will be similar to that of your regular FPL team. So, if you love FPL, you can add Fantasy5 to one of those things that makes your weekend lively.

In conclusion, this is just another game. Though the £10,000 prize is enticing, it is incredibly hard to win. Last week, of the 5 games chosen, points targets were met by few players in just 3 of those. That means nobody won that £10,000. That's the way it will be for 85% of the selected matches all through the season. And, my selections were completely off. Not even one of them beat their target.

But, if you have a 15% chance of winning £10,000 and all you have to do is select players based on your knowledge of FPL, I think it's worth a trial. Feel free to join on Fantasy5.com.

Also, an extension of Fantasy5 called Fanz exists. It follows the same model as Fantasy5. The difference here is that for Fanz, the prize is £5000. They are more into regular prizes and NFTs. They gave out Erling Haaland's framed rookie picture that may be get pricey few years from now. Dive in at Fanz.Fantasy5.com.

Get yourself busy with these two. If the £10,000 doesn't come your way, £5000 should.

Fantasy5?

I've always imagined that there will be games that are built just like fantasy premier league but I never got to do research about it. This fantasy 5 seems to be one of such.

The prize pool is also a big side attraction. Haha

The prize pool is quite a very big attraction, £10,000 is much. I just choose players for the fun of it, no real strategy.

Well, then, get your teams ready and predict. It's quite interesting as it goes hand-in-hand with FPL.

Dive in, the rules are pretty simple. If you're familiar with FPL you won't have any problem. But, getting the money is a difficult task.
