Manchester United weakened hopes of rivals of liverpool
Marcus Rashford (S 23 of a penalty kick), Anthony Marcial (S 29) scored Manchester United's goals, while Nicholas Ottamande scored City's only goal, in the 86th minute.
Manchester City, to retain the Premier League title, by beating him (2-1) this evening, Saturday, at the Etihad Stadium, at the top of the 16th round.
City's credit was frozen at 32 points, in third place, 14 points behind leaders Liverpool, while Manchester United raised its score to 24 points, and rose to fifth place.
United almost opened the score, in the third minute, when Brazilian Farid passed the ball to the right wing, Daniel James, inside the penalty area, to pay the last ball in the place of the Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson.
Despite City's usual control of events, United was the most dangerous, as Marcial received a ball from James, to shoot it low towards the near post, but Ederson had no difficulty in removing her peril, 15 minutes.
The referee awarded a penalty to Manchester United, after the use of video technology, following a violation of Rashford from Bernardo Silva.
Rashford hit the kick successfully in the 23rd minute, ahead of his team (1-0).
Rushford then missed two chances, the first in the 25th minute, when Farid passed a ball on a golden plate to Marcial, who shrewdly shot it past the far post.
He returned to receive a ball at the penalty area, to shoot it straight into the cross, 27 minutes.
But Marcial managed to compensate for Rashford's failures, when he added the second goal for United in the 29th minute, after receiving a ball from James inside the penalty area, to shoot it in the bottom corner near the city goal.
And in stoppage time for the first half, the referee refused to count a penalty for Manchester City, despite the use of video technology, which indicated that there was a hand touch on Farid.
