Day of 2024-10-05

Yesterday morning, I decided to take a break from my usual sports routine. It felt necessary to give my body a chance to recover and recharge. Instead of pushing myself physically, I spent most of the day relaxing and enjoying some downtime.

I made a strategic move by vacuuming up a significant chunk of $DRIP, around $120 worth. It felt like the right moment to grab that opportunity, and I am curious to see how it plays out. I am still deciding what to do next—whether to stake it all or perhaps diversify a bit. We will see where I land with this decision!

The day wrapped up with a refreshing evening walk with the dog. The temperature had dropped quite a bit, making it noticeably colder outside. Despite the chill, the walk was a good way to clear my head and get some fresh air. The dog seemed to enjoy it as well.

Effects of long-term PPI therapy

One of the most commonly used medicines in the general population is PPI (e.g. omeprazole, esomeprazole, pantoprazole, Rabeprazole, etc.) aka “gas medicine”. For any tummy upset, one of the medicines will be due to gas or acidity. Nowadays, the prazole group of drugs is preferred over antacids or H2-blocker! However, it has some demerits if used for a long time!

  • It is associated with reduced absorption of iron, B12, and magnesium.
  • It is also associated with a small but increased risk of osteoporosis and bone fractures.
  • The drugs also predispose to gut infections with bacteria such as Salmonella, Campylobacter, and possibly Clostridium difficile.
  • It increases the risk of helicobacter-associated (a bacterium in the stomach) waste away from the stomach's inner lining (medically it is called gastric mucosal atrophy).

I want to share something I've been excited about lately. It's called LiveGood, and it's all about helping people improve their health, save on daily products, and even create an additional income stream if they're interested.

If you're curious, here is a quick short video that explains it. The best part is that they accept Crypto as a payment option!
