Our connection with nature, our ability to listen and feel it, is the key to our inner peace 🙏
Hello, Actifitters!
Today we decided to visit the area "Dambala".
Just 15km from the town we live in is this massif, which is believed is sacred. On the night before St George's Day, thousands of people gather there and bathe for health and healing under the water flowing from the rocks.
Last time we went there, we stopped the car in the parking lot in front of the rocks, but this time we decided to walk up. We left the car at a turnoff a few kilometers before the holy water and started up.
The narrow road wound in front of us, and numerous boulders were visible to the left and right as far as the eye could see. Here, for the first time, I saw such a stony area.
It was a surprise when we saw a herd of deer among the stones. They spotted us from afar and ran into the nearby grove. I pulled out my phone quickly and tried to take a picture of them. They were faster than me. Most of the deer hid, I was only able to photograph some of them.
Due to the lack of a good lens, you probably can't see the deer among the rocks, so I tried to zoom in and crop the photo.
It's so nice to be in the wild and be able to see wildlife. They are so beautiful and free!
Charged with a shot of adrenaline from what we saw, we kept walking enjoying the breathtaking views of the Rhodope Mountains.
This is the Dambala Massif.
We drank water, washed for health, we sat down briefly to rest on the benches and walked back to our car.
The way back was easier because it is downhill.
I have consolidated my muscle fever from yesterday's hike up Monek Peak and am now indulging in a well-deserved rest.
That's it for today.
Have a lovely Friday evening!
