My Actifit Report Card: November 6 2023

I keep missing writing a post for needlework Monday. And these days, I am doing plenty of needle work

I just finished knitting this shawl a couple of days ago. Yesterday, I felt lousy and didn’t get much done. Today, was the day for double the chores.

One of them was to block this shawl. Blocking means soaking a knitted piece in hot or warm water - depending on the fiber. Then, squeezing out the water (no wringing) and lay it out flat to dry.

Sometimes, pinning the item in a certain shape is required. For this shawl, just laying it flat and straightening the icord bind off was enough.

It's great to hear that you're back in the swing of things with your needlework. That shawl looks beautiful! I'm sure it was a lot of work, but it was definitely worth it. Blocking is an important step in the knitting process, and it's great that you were able to do it successfully. I hope you enjoy wearing your new shawl!
