Day of Interesting Insects: May 11 2023
I was gardening and when it became time to put the tools away, I saw this interesting moth. I think I figured out that it is a White Ermine moth.
Pretty cool, right?
Then, later in the evening, we saw this baby on the wall. I looked it up. A lacewing Darwin wasp.
It is considered a
Beneficial insect. So, I trapped it under a glass, slid a paper under to close up the opening and took it outside. It was very happy about that and flew away.

Those are rare insects to me.
I hadn't seen them before either
I also do a great research on the tiny insects in my garden. I take a close-up shot of them and then google lens tell me about its details. If it's beneficial, I let them be it at my plants and if harmful I just throw it away from my plants.
Same here. But I have to check out google lens
It's an advanced version of google images for smartphones. On any image we can search several parts of our images by just selecting the areas of the image.
A few years ago I had this one on my front door
