Hive and Hive Engine Power Up Day - November 2023

Hey Hivers,

Can you believe it's already November?? Only when I see all the Hive Power Up Day posts am I convinced! And of course I am participating too! I believe I only missed one in the last three years since I started joining HPUD. And of course, it's also another Hive Power Up Month. I also very rarely miss it, just twice in over two years, because of some time zones confusion. As is also the tradition, this will be the opportunity to review my account details, its growth, and the various next goals and targets.

HIVE

We'll start once again with Hive of course. Unlike the past three months, I had to drop back to the amount I used to power up in the past 16.666HP. For PUM, I use the 100% Power Up option, which means it's not easy to accumulate HBD, and liquid Hive. But I kept some for at least another HPUD in December. And by then, we'll see what else I was able to convert and accumulate.

For once, I was going to skip pushing any HBD to savings. It's always a tiny amount, it's merely symbolic and I could have just let compounding do its thing. But I remembered what I said last month: it must be done every month! So, I ended up transferring an even tinier amount than usual: 0.333HBD, half evil!

As far as the growth is concerned, I guess I might start to sound like a broken record: consistent and steady growth. But the acceleration I've been talking about for a few months is gaining momentum. In organic growth, I am pretty sure this was my best month, except maybe a very long time ago, when Hive was under 10 cents. Starting with 4239HP, I was able to add 172HP to finish at 4411HP. Just like last month, it's way above my target, even the increased one at 4HP daily. I don't think I can repeat such performance every month, but it's great to see! It's not as linear as most month because of a couple of big upvotes, but overall it stays consistent.

Adding today's Power Up, I am now at 4428HP! That's a total increase in October of 189HP. Like I already said, just a few months ago, I was really struggling to reach 3-digits monthly growth, this time I was close to 200! Again, not sure I can keep this pace, but I really like to see it!

SPORTS

Also kind of a broken record, but no change on the SPORTS front: even though I didn't follow any of the attempts to revitalize the SportsTalkSocial tribe, I keep staking every SPORTS I get from posting and curating. With about 16.35M now, this is a very decent Power and it keeps growing consistently: over 500k added to my stake in October. A little less than last month, but just above my target.

ALIVE

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Just like HIVE and SPORTS, no real change for ALIVE: I enjoy the We Are Alive Tribe and I get rewarded at the same time with ALIVE, ALIVEM and several other passive incomes. Same as SPORTS, not as great as last month, but a pretty good one nonetheless with 497AP added to my stake, very close to my increased 500AP monthly target. I'll count it as reached!

PHOTO

I guess this is the theme of the month: no change! I am still not putting any focus on the PHOTO token, but with almost 1200 PHOTO added to my stake, this is another good month, albeit slightly under last month again, and under the challenging 1500 target I had set last month. Not worried about it, this requires little effort from me, I snap dozens of photos every day anyways!

LOLZ

And you guessed it, pretty much the same situation for LOLZ. Again, the main objective is to stay around the same percentage of the farming rewards pool. And with 216 added to my stake in October, I stayed exactly at the same percentage. So, I guess the 200-250 target range I set up was a good guess.

Targets

• Like last month, even my increased target was easily beaten for Hive, but like I said, I doubt I can repeat that every month, especially in November. So let's keep the target at 4 daily HP, this is already a challenging one for now.
• My 500k SPORTS monthly target was barely reached this month, so I guess it's a good one to keep for November.
• I very barely missed my 500 ALIVE target, but like I said, I'll consider it done. And that means same target for November. This is very challenging, but doable.
• I guess I was a bit too aggressive last month when I raised my PHOTO target to 1500 monthly. 1250 is probably more reasonable and still very challenging (I wouldn't have made it this month for instance).
• Like I said, 200 to 250 seems like a good monthly target range for LOLZ. I'll keep monitoring my percentage, as it is the main goal.
• Same as last month, no specific targets for drip tokens and diesel pools. I will say though, that I increased a bit my delegations to get more DHEDGE and DVS.
• It was a pretty good month for CTP, which means I should have added it to the above detailed report. But I forgot to track it accurately, so we'll start this month with my current stake 5689 CTP. Let's see what kind of target we can come up with in the next few months.
• And finally, I started accumulating several other smaller tokens, but mostly to increase my delegations to LOLZ accounts. So no specific targets here either, but hopefully that will help increasing my LOLZ stake faster.

And that is it. We're in November now, the fall foliage is almost entirely gone, and we got our first snow flakes yesterday. Finally! I sure hope we get a lot more very soon. Coming back to my account, I will repeat the same conclusion over and over: consistent and steady growth. The compounding effect is starting to be visible, and that is part of the reason for the recent acceleration. Let's see if we can keep it going for November and further.
