Hive and Hive Engine Power Up Day - March 2024

Hey Hivers,

It's Hive Power Up Day again! I almost thought I would not be able to post about it this month. My main laptop died recently. Well, it didn't really die, it just got stuck in an infinite reboot loop. My guess (and hope) is that I will be able to fix it, simply by reformatting and reinstalling everything. But of course, I want to find a way to retrieve my data first. Yes I know, I should be doing much better with backups, but well I'm a lazy person, and that won't change anytime soon. Anyways, I'm writing this on an old laptop that I hadn't used in a very long time. It's more of tablet really, but it works. And I found some old data here and there, so I could put this together. Let's not waste any more time on that, and instead let's dive into reviewing my account details, its growth, and the various next goals and targets.
One last thing before that though: even though hivebuzz is still down, I would have completed another PUM, and of course HPUD!

HIVE

As always, let's start with Hive. This month was a bit different from most, because it involved a week end getaway, significantly more work than usual, and of course the laptop story. But by mixing 100% Powered up posts and daily powerups, I was able to keep my streak for PUM and accumulate a few Hive for HPUD. As usual, I will keep it fairly small though with 16.666HP.

Another tradition that I don't want to break is pushing a tiny amount of HBD to savings. Once again, it was only a symbolic 0.666. Slowly it is getting better with now over 2.5 HBD in interest every month. I know it's definitely not life changing, at least not where I live, but it's a start!

As for the growth, it was once again quite steady and consistent. Except for a few small spikes, it was almost linear again. Starting at 4936HP, I was able to add 146HP to reach 5082HP. It's slightly lower than the past couple of months, but considering the month is shorter and the conditions mentioned above, it is absolutely fine. It is once again well above my 4HP daily target, which means that as promised I may have to revise it.

Adding today's Power Up, we are at 5099HP! That was a 163HP increase for February. The 5000HP symbolic milestone has obviously been reached, and now I guess the dolphin status will soon be in sight.

SPORTS

Another month not reaching my 500k monthly SPORTS target, but this time it was close. With about 473k added to my stake, it's a decent month and I doubt I could have done much better. This just shows my target is probably a bit too challenging. Like mentioned last month, the 20M milestone is still possible to reach around half year.

ALIVE

Lots of the exciting stuff on the We Are Alive tribe are on hold currently because the owner seems extremely busy after his move. However I still like this tribe and this token, hence I am still staking everything I can. It was actually a pretty good month with about 561AP added to my stake, one my best monthly performances in over a year, and easily above my 500AP monthly target. When things go back to normal, I will be ready!

PHOTO

It wasn't as good for PHOTO. But like I keep saying, this is not a focus, just something I know I can accumulate naturally with my posts that almost all include plenty of photos. By adding 778 PHOTO to my stake, I am nowhere close to my 1000 PHOTO monthly target, and it might be time to revise this target as well.

LOLZ

On the other hand, after a few weak months, it was better for LOLZ. With about 204 added to my stake, it is finally back in my target range. And my percentage for rewards farming stays about the same.

Targets

• That is now 5 months in a row above my 4HP daily target, so I have no other choice than increasing it! We will try and add 4.5HP daily in March. I think this will be very challenging because I saw a slight slowdown the last couple of weeks but this is doable.
• On the other hand, that's several months not meeting my 500k SPORTS monthly target, and I don't see that changing. So let's try and go for 450k. Still a difficult target, but more realistic I think.
• I was also a bit worried with my 500AP monthly ALIVE target, but it was reached this month. So let's do it again in March!
• My performance for PHOTO can vary a lot, so even though it wasn't met this month, let's keep the target at 1000 for March. If I fail again though, I will probably reduce it again.
• It's really just a suggestion, but my 200-250 LOL target range was reached this month. So we will go after the same objective in March.
• I still wasn't able to pay much attention to CTP, especially with CTPX not paying the drawings prizes. So it will stay dormant at least one more month.
• This month, I noticed a slight acceleration for tokens that I use for delegations, drip tokens, and diesel pools. Still very small amounts, but let's monitor it this month and we'll see if that requires a separate entry with the other bigger tokens above.

And that is it for this month. I usually don't like to repeat myself but in this case I don't mind at all: consistent and steady growth! That's always what I've been after and I'll keep doing the same thing!
