Hive and Hive Engine Power Up Day - October 2023

Hey Hivers,

I feel like I'm sending out these HPUD posts later and later in the day every month. Maybe it's because I also feel like days are passing by faster and faster! Anyways, just a few minutes left for October 1st in my time zone, but it is still time for October Hive Power Up Day! I stopped counting exactly how many that is since I joined, I'll check at the end of the year maybe, but it's very rare for me to miss it. Although it seems there was a glitch in the Power Up Month, I am pretty sure it was another successful one as well. And once again, this is an opportunity for me to review my account details, its growth, and the various next goals and targets.

HIVE

As always, let's start with Hive of course. It's been at least 3 months that I was able to keep the amount powered up at 26.666HP, a bit higher than I used to. And with what I kept as liquid, I should be able to repeat that again next month.

Also like last month, I pushed the same tiny amount of HBD to savings. I know this is just symbolic, but it just must be done every month!

I always talk about the same thing every month: steady growth. But the past few months, I also mentioned a slight acceleration, and this was confirmed in September. It was actually one of my best months, possibly the best. Starting with 4075HP, I could add 138HP to finish at 4213HP. Considering I increased my target to 3.5HP daily increase, this is very easily above, and almost linear. I might need to reconsider again this target.

Adding today's Power Up, that is a total of 4239HP, making it an increase in September of 164HP! I remember just a few months ago when I was really struggling to get into 3 digit territory. Great improvement! The conclusion stays the same though, steady and consistent growth. It is just a little faster than before.

SPORTS

No change compared to previous months: even though I don't really follow what's happening with the SportsTalkSocial tribe, I stake every SPORTS I get from posting and curating. Closing in on 16M, this is getting pretty good! This month was also better than last one, with 540k added to my stake. Target reached for once! And the growth stays very consistent as well.

ALIVE

Nothing really new here either: the We Are Alive Tribe is still one of my favorites! I also stake everything I can. The only difference is that I started delegating some of that stake for some passive income. I still kept a decent effective Power to be able to curate as well. This was a good month too with 535 added to my stake, well above my 400AP target.

PHOTO

This one was added with the details only last month. Like I said, I am not putting a whole lot of focus on this one, but the growth is pretty good, so I will keep monitoring it. This month again with 1515 PHOTO added to my stake, this is a good one, way above the 1000 PHOTO target I tentatively set last month.

LOLZ

Also added last month, this one is also doing fairly well. Like I mentioned, the main objective is to stay around the same percentage of the farming rewards pool. The target (200-250) was also very tentative, and with 261 added to my stake in September, this is slightly above.

Targets

• Well, I said it, so let's increase again the HP daily target to 4. This is starting to become quite aggressive for a small account like mine, but the past few weeks proved it is doable.
• I tend to finish slightly under my 500k monthly target for SPORTS but this month, it was reached. So let's keep again the same target for October
• I said last month it may be time to increase my ALIVE target if I could reach it again. It was done, so let's increase it! I think 500 might be very aggressive but I will try!
• I also said the 1000 PHOTO monthly target was a coarse guess. I added 50% more than that in September, so let's officially set the target at 1500 for October.
• Same for LOLZ. I think a target range between 200 and 250 was a pretty good guess. That should be good to keep my percentage like I said.
• I will not set anything for the various drip tokens and Diesel pools. I am still adding what I can there, but without any specific plan or target for now. I will once I start to reach larger amounts.
• Like I mentioned last month, my CTP stake is also growing well. One more month like that and I will add it to the above with all the details.

And that is it, another month gone. Fall season is one of my favorites with all the foliage colors. But that has nothing to do with my account, for which the conclusion has been the same for many months: consistent and steady growth. Let's keep it this way for many more months!
