Change of plan - Easy night Run
I just finished a 6.804km running that lasted about 0hh:33mm:11ss !
The plan for Thursday was a semi-long run, something like 8 miles, ideally with a pace under 8min/mile. But the weather changed a lot during the day, and according to the forecast I only had 45 minutes at best before it'd start raining. Of course, we all know that doesn't mean much, it could rain before, or it could not rain at all. But combined with my lack of motivation, it made me change my plan. I wasn't lazy enough to skip entirely the run, but decided on a shorter run, around 4 miles but possibly more depending on rain. At the end of the third mile, it started drizzling a bit, and it was really windy. It didn't turn into real rain (well it did, but much later in the night), but that was enough for me to head back home without adding much extra distance. So, in the end, just a little over 4 miles at a somewhat easy pace for this short distance. The almost sprint at the end was fun!
Now I am not exactly sure what to plan for Friday night. It was supposed to be a very easy run to recover from the 8+ miles Thursday run. Maybe I will go again for ~4miles but faster, or maybe somewhere in the middle with 10k. Then active rest day on Saturday with a long flat hike, and a long run (ideally 10 miles at least) on Sunday, just one week before race day. Let's see if I can keep this schedule...
