My Actifit Report Card: March 2 2025
Hey Actifitters,
For the second day of our week end ski getaway, we went to The Highlands in Harbor Springs, another small resort up North Michigan.
It wasn't too sunny, but not as cold as the day before. The snow was a little softer and just like every year, we remembered we prefer the runs there, compared to the ones in Boyne Mountain.
No big fall like the previous day, it made for a more relaxed snow boarding session. I still had a light headache from that big fall on my head the day before, and lots of soreness most likely from being so tense after that fall. But it went fine. And when the sun shows up, even just for a few seconds, that view on the lake is a great bonus.
Overall, another good day on the slopes. Like I said several times, it's not the Alps but that'll do for a fun week end.
Compared to the way in, nothing to report for the drive back, no storm, snow or wind, just a boring three and a half hours drive.
When I finally made it home, I found this little guy on the deck and thought Le Chat really changed in just a couple days!
Amazing how quick all these critters sense that Kaia isn't around to patrol the yard, and they get really bold trying to get the food I leave on the deck for Le Chat. Anyways, a few minutes later, Le Chat did show up, apparently very happy to get back inside and eat food without having to fight the local raccoons and possums.
Well, without being our best trip up there, this week end was a good break in our routine. Going back into the work week won't be easy!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
