RE: Why does boxing make the fighters so much more money than MMA?

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

The UFC has the capacity and resources to comfortably pay their fighters handsomely, but I don't understand why Dana just doesn't care, I mean this guys put their life on the line every time they step in the octagon and they get paid Penneys in return after generating millions for Dana. I don't blame any UFC fighter for trying to get a big pay day through boxing.

Well if he keeps it up I think it will eventually bite him and the company in the ass. There are some big players buying up smaller promotions and when they have the clout, they will start to lure away the big names in UFC with more lucrative contracts.

Remember when the PGA basically thought they were untouchable and could do whatever they wanted only to have LIV come along and snatch up a lot of the biggest names in golf? Well that can happen in MMA as well! The UFC's arrogance is probably going to get them into financial trouble in the future.
