Staking... Futures. My Actifit Report Card: May 20 2023

Future Trees, that is.

Today, I bought a couple of packs of flat bamboo stakes, and I decided to mark the oak and walnut saplings that I chanced upon while playing the hoe in our garden. My wild brother goes there from time to time, and I myself might not notice those while working on something else... l have actually lost quite a few of the saplings due to lack of attention or slow reactions... meaning not being able to recognize them before cutting them down along with some weeds, etc. Sometimes, I would accidentally dig out one along with the roots, acorn still attached.

So, I began marking those that I had discovered earlier this week. And I ran out of stakes. They were 25 in total. More than 25 oak and walnut trees in a garden that's about an acre large. Can you imagine? It would be a freaking forest.

I shall have to transplant most of them in the next year or two. But let's keep them out of harm's way first.
