Bayern Munich has been the club with the most healthy economy in the past 40 years. 40 years for a top club like Bayern to stay on the good side of the financial line is indeed incredible. This was possible thanks to Uli Hoeness. Bayern's CEO has been instrumental in making Bayern the role model of self sustainment. But there was one thing. Uli Hoeness never targeted long sustainable goals. Like milestones to reach in 10 years. He did what mr. Teal used to say in GTA Vice City, a more 'hands on' approach. He saw a shortcoming and he fixed it. Well, Bayern did had things on their plate that needed fixing. One can only go after long distance targets after getting the short ones. Uli has also made sure Bayern is a german superpower.
Bayern's unmatched dominance in the German league has made them even more lucrative for the sponsors and fans which in turn has only helped Bayern even more. Uli Hoeness retired from CEO in 2019. And he was replaced by Oliver Kahn. But that's not all. Along with Oliver Kahn Bayern have also appointed formsr Adidas CEO Herbert Hainer. Now why these two people and what wil they do is what we disect.
The appointment was mainly targeted towards Herbert Hainer. The former adidas CEO was instrumental in making Adidas a global brand. All the flashes of Adidas you see everywhere is literally thanks to Herbert Hainer. Now we know Bayern has fixed everything at their own house and are self sufficient and well run club. Bayern have achieved everything in their country and then don't have to look behind their shoulders anymore for anyone, it's only obvious that they target global domination. Herbert Hainer's expertises will help Bayern in this front. He can promote the club into places where the club hasn't been before. The asian market is a huge example. Asia isn't the most developed part of the world football wise.
Bayern are trying the exploit this opportunity by setting up training camps across countries and maybe bring out some players to Europe. This will place Bayern in the roots of Asian football development. Bayern has also signed a deal in Konami and eFootball. Even though there was more money to be made by signing a deal with Electronic Arts and FIFA, they chose Konami to especially get their hands on the asian market. They have also entered eSports too. All these are destined to make Bayern to profits than before. And this way they can also spend lavishly on players and contracts like other clubs all while not staying in debt.
Also Bayern look to invest in their youth academy even more. To ensure more talents to come out of their ranks and gradually decrease their lean on the global transfer market. Bayern are looking to become a completely self sufficient club separate from the rest of the clubs just like Apple in the tech space. And with Kahn's football knowledge and Hainer's marketing knowledge, the Bavarians look set the achieve these goals and move another mile away from the competition in terms of sustainability.
