A morning walk along the Chilaw lagoon glistening in the sun - My Actifit Report Card: October 17 2023

Hello my fellow fitness lovers,

What's up hivers? I hope you're doing well. For my family members, the company I worked for had used the Chilaw Ananthaya resort and spa, located on one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka, for their annual outing. So today is the last day of our stay for three days. Several families of our company's fellow employees including my wife, daughter and myself also participated in this. On the last morning, the sun was bright, so my daughter and I started walking along the lagoon because of her insistence. As it rained heavily last night, I thought I would stay in the room in the morning. But luckily it didn't happen.

Leaving the hotel room, we first walked along the sparkling blue seashore. To a certain extent, this walk will help to improve my physical health, so I willingly went ahead. As my daughter expressed her desire to tread the sea waves, I fulfilled her wish. We were advised beforehand mot to go swimming in this place because of its insecurity. My daughter was not kept there for long because there were big waves from near the shore. But her happiness is reflected in her smile.

Plant varieties that are adapted to salt marshes grow in the coastal environment. Vines with small leaves are widely spread throughout the white sand belt. Meanwhile, small trees with slightly lager leaves could also be seen. These plants are designed to withstand the wind. This species of vine has spread throughout the white sand belt and added green colour to the environment.

We can enjoy the beauty of fresh nature through our walk in the morning. It's no secret the nature becomes polluted in urban environments due to.human activities in the afternoon and evening. But from night, nature is going to be fresh again. The harmony of blue and green can be seen not only the beach but also in other places in nature. If you have walked through a forest to a mountain top, you must have seen this combination of colors well.

I was fortunate to watch sunshine much better since lagoon area. Some villages ride traditional boats for fishing activities. Lagoon area very useful to enjoy nature beauty and kissing fresh winds.
