MAcFiT Olympics: Day 7 - Special update on Volleyball

Good day,

This is a special update on Volleyball. All scores from Wednesday matches are in and that means that group phase is over. To give all players a clear picture, I have decided to publish a separate post.

Standings

Group A:

@erikklok is the big surprise here. He joins @manuvert in the Quarterfinals. The 3rd place here doesn't qualify - 3rd placed players from groups B and C have been better. Interestingly, @browery and @benbow2017 have finished the group phase with exactly the same score.

Group B:

Look at the table - @new.things has the highest score, yet finished 3rd. He lost very narrowly to both @danmaruschak and @merthin. However, his high score allows to join the duo in the Quarterfinals.
@pinkhub is only group phase player w/o a single point...

Group C

@cezary-io had been given a pole position by the draw - his match against @bucipuci was on Sunday. He did win, but lost the other two games. Therefore @sk1920 and @fredkese will join the group winner in the playoffs.

Playoffs

The brackets for the playoffs are based on group phase performance. First come 3 group winners, then 3 second placed players and finally the two lucky players from 3rd places. Within each group, the order is Points - Score.
