MAcFiT Olympics: Day 14

Hello,
It's already two weeks of Olympic competitions. Few more days and the games will be over.

Volleyball

Semifinals were held yesterday. @merthin (POL) followed Poland's national volleyball team (won 3:2 against the USA) and bested @danmaruschak (USA) in the semifinal 39:32. I think we know the second finalist, but let's wait for @manuvert's score.

The final will be played on this coming Saturday.

S2 (Q2 vs Q3): @bucipuci vs @manuvert 53:?

Tennis

Teams 1 and 3 needed to play Doubles to decide the winner of the Semifinals. The winner is Team 1.

Tuesday, August 6
Team 1 (@bucipuci AND @krakonos) vs Team 5 (@new.things AND @pinkhub) (52 + 13 = 65) > (33 + 9 = 41)

The Final will be played over Friday and Saturday (Singles) and Sunday (Doubles, if needed).

Captains (@bucipuci and @merthin) again have the right to select the order of play.
I think I know their decisions (pretty obvious), but formally they need to comment this post.

Cycling

On August 6 the player with the lowest score was @@@benbow2017. Who's going to be the last eliminated before the medalists are known? Knowing the result of @bucipuci from August 7, I can say that Europe will have a place on the podium!

4x100 Relay

I think I can declare Team Orange the winners. They are just one day short of reaching the finish line. @fredkese needed just 12 on August 7 to cross the line (his score is not available as of writing).

With the other teams, Things got interesting.

@davidthompson57 is the last runner of Team Blue. I thought he would be chasing @fredkese, but instead he has been almost caught up by Teams Red and Green and now needs to run fast to secure the silver medal.

@krakonos, running for Team Green, has ended his lap yesterday (Wednesday). So did @racibo for Team Red. Both teams count now on their last runners - @cezary-io and @homesteadlt respectively - to run for a medal, silver or bronze.
