Been struck with another round of Covid the past few days. Overcome a couple days of pretty intense fevers, but still having respiratory issues.

Couldn’t resist a light jog, after being locked up for the past few days. Frustrating because I was starting to hit my straps again, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

Looking back it’s hard to believe I ran my first marathon this year on the third day of a cold, and clocked up 35km in the ultra in a similar condition as I am today.

Was pretty gutted about all the work I put in this year, to be struck down with illness.. and ultimately come up way short of my goals.

In saying that, the difficulty of a 2km jog this morning got me thinking, those were actually some pretty massive efforts under trying circumstances.. and when the stars align hopefully 2024 we hit those goals 🤙
