Ready or not, here I come..

Adventure afoot!

Today's adventure to cleanup the environment, saw me finally attempt to connect the main path - from the pond on the left hand side of the wetlands, to what I think may be the entrance of the 'Brigantine River Trail' on the right.

It was a success! Although the bush was both more remote and very dense.. I was relieved to have made it safely to the other side. Along the way, I spotted and picked up quite a few pieces of trash.

The first litter which I pulled up to.. was a length of rope, which I then pulled out!

This blue plastic lid may have belonged to some sort of margarine/butter container.. though there was no sign of the bottom portion of the tub anywhere.

This small piece of fabric may have either been or belonged to a garment. Not really sure what it was to be honest.

This large piece of foil was spoiling what would have otherwise been a beautiful scene.

Then there was an old dirty pair of discarded tracksuit pants. After shaking off the loose sand, I was able to compress it into the carrier.

What I originally thought was a chunk of plastic, was actually several layers of dried paint. Maybe like that which may have been peeled off.. from a used paint tray perhaps?

Somewhere in the middle of the path (whilst venturing to the right).. I was able to retrieve an empty plastic bottle.

Not long thereafter, I found another (though different to the first).

The bottom of a glass bottle was picked up, from the top of a mole hill. That's one less hazard for all to worry about.

The removal of this empty packet of crisps, required an intricate approach - due to the branches in which it was caught up.

Likewise.. with regards to what appears to be a long thin fabric tie, entangled on some flora.

All the rubbish collected was emptied in one of the local public municipal bins. By carefully 'testing the waters' with regards to the new territory explored.. the positive impact of my environment cleanup walks may now have an even further reach.
