Ready or not, here I come..

-> from ironing out some of the wetlands pollution.

📌 Adventure begun!

🔼 That's what litter is.. it's pollution! Trash introduced into an ecologically sensitive area, is harmful to the miraculous lifeforms dwelling within. Those precious creatures look directly to us for help. It's time to get going.

⏫ The first recovery was that of a hard and sharp shard of plastic. Relatively small, but at the same time not welcome here.

⏫ It'll be an awesome day, when I can't find broken glass around these parts. Alas, today was not that moment. Glad I managed to get rid of this of course.

⏫ Never saw this coming.. foam shoe inners. I marched them right outta here!

⏫ A flattened beer can.. I reckon drinking goes on in these parts. I find quite a bit of liquor related trash in general.

⏫ Case in point.. an empty plastic rum bottle.

⏫ Some old sun bleached paper. Another one bites the dust!

⏫ An interesting fragment of glass. When I removed it, an indentation remained in the sand - reminiscent of scar from a healed wound.

⏫ The plastic bag recovered from these reeds was full of water, and much larger than I originally thought.

⏫ What's this I found? It belonged to something much bigger. Keep reading to discover what that was..

⏫ Who would have thought I'd find an old broken iron?! That's beyond wild! The curious piece found prior, was once a part of it.

⏫ This was another fragment of the whole. It must have been thrown down very hard. Why on earth would anyone do that?!

⏫ I hope there were no matches accompanying this outer cardboard box.

⏫ I'm wondering whether people will be less likely to litter, as the environment continues to get cleaner? Only time will tell. On that note, I picked up this final piece for the day.

📌 The results of sin..

📌 Now in this bin!

⏫ The results of the day's cleanup, were safely deposited in the municipal bin near the local wetlands. As is usually the case, I kept the carrier to re-use. Overall it was a cool day. I thoroughly enjoyed being out in the sunshine, whilst getting fitter in the process. As a matter of fact, I was quite stoked to jog some of the way home!

🔼 While trying to take of a photo of my friends this morning, I was so awestruck when one of them came right up to me.. as if to say 'thank you'.
