My Actifit & Clean Planet Journal: Sep 17 2023

Heya Hiva,

Ready or not.. here I come!

So I woke up this morning with a spring in my step. I most certainly knew from the moment I opened my eyes, that today would yield more awesome results in my ongoing @actifit & @cleanplanet adventure! Yes, my intention from the outset, was to be a busy bee.. kinda like this cute little one who greeted me indoors. How awesome is that!

Anyway, armed with a smile - the result of the earlier encounter with the little bee.. I donned some hand protection, grabbed a bag and made my way up the road towards the beloved territory of the geese. First up was this flattened piece of tin foil. The size was deceiving, for a large portion was curiously buried below the collection of leaves and dirt.

Yup you guessed it.. an empty cigarette box. It was located about an arms reach off the road. At this point, my level of motivation was still at 'full'.. I knew that I would win the battle today, for sure!

This one caught me by surprise.. a rubber glove. I suppose with covid, a lot of them were being used. Wonder if its story may be traced back to such roots? Guess we'll never know.

This obviously needed to be collected as well. Kinda had the vibe of the bag one may find in a cereal box.. that sort of thick clouded plastic - if you know what I mean? I wondered when I picked it up, if anything may be hiding beneath it. I have to be careful in these parts.. I know for a fact there are snakes around.

Looks like some sort of toilet paper. The glove I was wearing on my left hand, came in handy big time! Was it used to blow someone's nose? Or perhaps for wiping something else? Ok, let's not ask those questions!

This sharp piece of broken ceramic was only partially sticking out of the sand - so I exposed it fully for the photo. This could have cut someone, as it's on the path. It could also have hurt an animal. Great thing I was able to pick it up.

About this time, I arrived at the pond again. Look how cute the Egyptian Geese are. I never get tired of 'em. Don't worry my little friends!.. I will clean these surroundings for you!

I pushed on today, getting further than I did yesterday. Oh how cool - a bench. I'll remember that for future! How rewarding today has been.

Here we go.. looks like some more of that stuff from earlier. In the bag you go.

This as well - it doesn't belong here. How did this place get like this?! Hectic.

How's this for a view! FYI.. that rocky portion on the top has a cave! A really well known one in fact. That's a story on its own.

I had done rather well and decided to head back. On the way, I also managed to spot this plastic wrapper, and dealt with it hastily.

Right at the end I managed to catch up with this till slip, blowing down the road. Grabbed it just in time, as it almost went into a drain.

As I still couldn't find any bins along the way, I once again brought the trash to the one where I stay - discarding of it responsibly. Yay, today's mission accomplished! The world already a better place. What's more.. steps were met in the process!
