Epic weekend and great barrels in Fernando de Noronha - Bode beach (EN-PT/BR)

Aloha SurfHive family, Luiz Hadad here sharing some memories from the best swell we had this year until today. It happened in the 8th of March 2024 at Bode Beach.

When we looked at the forecast, we knew a nice south swell had hit the south of Brazil and was heading towards Noronha. This swells travel all the Atlantic Ocean and hit certain points of the Brazilian coastline.

The swell arrived early on Friday, March 8th, and it was amazing. Great barrels all day long, everyone stoked and smiling.

The wind forecast was not great, but it ended up being very calm winds, and the surf session was amazing.

I was lucky to get this air footage from a Drone perspective from Rafael Pinheiro. It shows how amazing the landscape from Noronha is.

I've been in Fernando de Noronha since December 27th, thanks to my @gnars sponsorship and for the work I do at @surfgurupro . Those two organizations are key for me to live the dream these days.

Spending the whole surf season in Noronha is amazing. The island is considered the "Brazilian Hawaii" and this weekend was a very special one.

Bode beach is situated at the side of Cacimba do Padre, one of Noronha's most famous beaches, and the beach that usually hosts surf competitions like the World Qualifying Series (WQS) events that happen in Noronha.

It is a rare wave because in order to have a session like this, the swell has to be really big (2.5 meters +) in the South-Southwest direction, which is not very common in Brazil.

I am grateful for the opportunity to surf this amazing waves with not many people out, and having this pictures to share with our community!

Quando eu vi a previsão, sabia que um swell maneiro tinha chegado a costa brasileira e estava indo na direção de Noronha. Essas ondulações viajam o Oceano Atlântico inteiro e vai encontrando em alguns pontos da Costa Brasileira, e Noronha é um deles.

O swell chegou cedo na sexta-feira, e foi irado! Fui as 9h pra água e me dei bem, peguei logo 3 ondas iradas e fiz a cabeça. Altas ondas o dia inteiro, todo mundo sorrindo amarradão :)

A previsão do vento não era excelente, mas acabou que o dia foi de ventos muito calmos, e a session de surf foi épica!

Tive sorte de fazer essa imagem de Drone com o meu brother Rafael Pinheiro. Nela a gente consegue ver o visual irado de Noronha e os dois irmão ao fundo.

Eu estou passando temporada em Noronha, e estou na ilha desde o dia 27 de Dezembro. Agradeço a meus patrocinadores @gnars e ao @surfgurupro , que são organizações fundamentais para que eu consiga viver esse sonho.
Passar a temporada de ondas em Noronha é incrível. A ilha é considerada o "Hawaii Brasileiro" e um fim de semana como esse foi especial.

A praia do Bode é situada ao lado da Cacimba do Padre, uma das praias mais famosas de Noronha. Cacimba normalmente é a sede de várias competições de surf, como o WQS Noronha, que acontece anualmente na ilha, no mês de Março.

A onda do bode é uma onda rara por que para rolar uma session dessa, a ondulação tem que vir bem grande (mais de 2.5 metros) na direção de Sul-Sudoeste, o que não é muito comum no litoral Brasileiro.

Sou muito agradecido pela oportunidade de surfar essas ondas incríveis com pouco crowd, e ter esses registros pra compartilhar com nossa comunidade :)
