After the first exercises and practices it became known that the Santiago Yoelkis Guibert has an injury to his right knee that will not allow him to start in the starting lineup against the Virgin Islands USA next Monday, but he will be ready to be used as an emergent depending on the game situation.
Although the starting lineup for Cuba's opening day is not yet known, it can be predicted without batting order that Yunior Ibarra will be the catcher, Leonardo Urgellés at first base, Santiago Torres at second, Luis Vicente Mateo will be the shortstop with Rodoleis Moreno in the anteroom.
The outfield could be guarded by Héctor Labrada on the left, Yasiel González on the right and Alexquemer Sánchez in the center. All of the above will have to be confirmed by the team management, because it is only from what was seen on the first occasion that this team Cuba met to face this event.
