The process of creating this artwork was a journey that began with sketching the character. I started with a loose sketch to capture the essence of his serene and powerful aura. I focused on his posture, making sure to highlight the balance between calmness and strength. The sketch was intentionally light, allowing for flexibility and changes as I moved forward in the process.

El proceso de creación de esta obra fue un viaje que comenzó con el boceto del personaje. Comencé con un boceto suelto para capturar la esencia de su aura serena y poderosa. Me concentré en su postura, asegurándome de resaltar el equilibrio entre la calma y la fuerza. El boceto fue intencionalmente ligero, lo que permitió flexibilidad y cambios a medida que avanzaba en el proceso.

Once I was happy with the sketch, I moved on to the outlining phase. I carefully traced the lines, ensuring that the character's features were sharp and precise. This step is important for me because it sets the foundation for the rest of the artwork, and I really wanted to emphasize the details in the robe and the staff, as they are essential to his identity.

Una vez que estuve contenta con el boceto, pasé a la fase de delineado. Rastreé cuidadosamente las líneas, asegurándome de que las características del personaje fueran nítidas y precisas. Este paso es importante para mí porque establece la base para el resto de la obra, y realmente quería resaltar los detalles de la túnica y el bastón, ya que son esenciales para su identidad.

After outlining, I began the coloring process. I started with the base colors, filling in the robe with soft, muted tones of cream and gold. Then, I added the blonde hair, blending in warmer shades to create a gentle, glowing effect. The eyes were given special attention, with a rich golden hue that reflects the character's inner light and wisdom.

Después del delineado, comencé el proceso de coloreado. Comencé con los colores base, llenando la túnica con tonos suaves y apagados de crema y dorado. Luego, añadí el cabello rubio, mezclando tonos más cálidos para crear un suave efecto brillante. Los ojos recibieron especial atención, con un tono dorado intenso que refleja la luz interior y sabiduría del personaje.

Next came the shading. I applied soft shadows to the folds of the robe, emphasizing its flow and texture. I also shaded the hair, making sure to create depth, so it didn’t appear flat. Shadows help give the character a sense of volume and dimensionality, which is important in bringing him to life.

Luego vino la aplicación de sombras. Apliqué sombras suaves en los pliegues de la túnica, destacando su fluidez y textura. También sombreé el cabello, asegurándome de crear profundidad, para que no pareciera plano. Las sombras ayudan a darle al personaje una sensación de volumen y dimensionalidad, lo que es fundamental para darle vida.

For the highlights, I added soft glowing effects around the character’s hair and robes to enhance his mystical, healing nature. This touch of brightness creates a warm, ethereal atmosphere, allowing the viewer to feel the character’s presence even through the image. It’s like he is standing in the light of the moon, radiating a sense of peace and power.

Para los brillos, añadí efectos de resplandor suave alrededor del cabello y la túnica del personaje para realzar su naturaleza mística y sanadora. Este toque de luz crea una atmósfera cálida y etérea, permitiendo que el espectador sienta la presencia del personaje incluso a través de la imagen. Es como si estuviera de pie bajo la luz de la luna, irradiando una sensación de paz y poder.

Finally, I added the background, which was a simple yet effective choice. I wanted a setting that wouldn’t distract from the character but instead complement his tranquil, spiritual nature. I chose a soft glow, hinting at a serene environment, with subtle details of a traditional Japanese landscape to ground the character in his origins.

Finalmente, añadí el fondo, que fue una elección simple pero efectiva. Quería un escenario que no distrajera la atención del personaje, sino que complementara su naturaleza tranquila y espiritual. Elegí un resplandor suave, insinuando un ambiente sereno, con detalles sutiles de un paisaje japonés tradicional para situar al personaje en sus orígenes.

Creating this artwork was a deeply fulfilling experience for me. I felt a connection to the character’s calm energy and wisdom as I worked on each detail, and the process of blending traditional Japanese aesthetics with anime style was incredibly rewarding. I am so happy to have completed this collection, and I truly hope that it resonates with those who see it, especially the wonderful community of @holozing.

Crear esta obra fue una experiencia profundamente gratificante para mí. Sentí una conexión con la energía tranquila y sabiduría del personaje mientras trabajaba en cada detalle, y el proceso de fusionar la estética japonesa tradicional con el estilo anime fue increíblemente satisfactorio.
