warning: there's an unpleasant photo in the middle of the sharing. My apologies in advance if that has caused you horror / discomfort

It has definitely been an iffy unstable 2 months me and my family has encountered.

In my journey of faith, and I believe people of all faiths have a similar point of view, is that when good exists, evil to existst.
My Good is God; and of course, with Almighty being the light of the world, there too exist the dark side.

You cannot state to the world that you are a Christian if you consciously deny that there is always a constant battle between darkness and light. If you do deny it, that’s totally not the right gospel you are believing because you can find it written everywhere in the Bible.

And speaking of which, as I have mentioned above, my family has been having really weird things happening since March.

• Flash arguments out of no apparently reason
• Complains about sudden sound of in the middle of the night,
• Sudden surge of uncontrolled anger, restlessness, anxiety
  I mean, my parents have gone through thick and thin the last few years from one hospital appointment to another. There’s so many miracles counted even from last year that I have shared that even though when there is a storm brewing and happening, there’s always a rainbow at the end.

However, this time, the month of March and April, with so many funerals to attend to, I would easily accept and write it as an unusual worldwide phenomena (which could be true in many sense); but this time when my parents room at my own place started having weird sounds constantly happening and bugging my parents to wake up (but I barely heard it), to the point when my dad started behaving really weirdly, flaring up with anger and insisting to move back to my parents’ home because of petty little naggings, this was overboard unusual in my family.

We even have multiple prayer meetings, and many times theough those prayer meetings my parents' hearts were healed, but that constant drawn to some “evil” source was just too frequent this time round, and I have been praying for discernment why is this happening.

Nothing....

Until we made that decision...

When we finally decided, with my parents’ agreement and concent, to cleanse and blessed my parents’ home, that was uninhabited since the lockdown, more and more demonic influences surfaces... The flicker-mindedness and people kept trying to stall / derail this idea, confusing my parents' decision was unprecedented.

You see, we were never a born Christian household, we were from Taoist background, and I was the first to be saved 18 years ago. We had different deity idols in the home with written protective Taoist enchantments around different rooms. My parents served these deities for many years until my dad was very sick in 2018 later diagnosed with cancer.My dad accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in 2019, then the LORD journeyed with him through a 26-day hospitalization ordeal, recovering from prostate removal during the lockdown period.

So to suddenly for dad flaring up to the point wanting to walk away from faith (after such an intense experience) was totally unnatural, and we do know if the "household deities" are not attended for so many years usually leads to no good ending. Therefore, it is better to remove the deities because we no longer serve.

Another reason to remove them was, earlier this year, when my cousin who has been helping us to check on my parents’ home once a while found out one of the ceiling board above the altar was broken, caused by roof leaking during monsoon rain + a suspected stray cat's weight while crossing on it, the altar deity idols were slightly damaged by that collapsed, filled wiyh cat paw prints ceiling board; when he tried to fix the ceiling he ended up suddenly falling from the ladder and fractured his hip!

My cousin is quite a handyman. Despite of his age, he is always the strong and careful cousin; for him to suddenly fall and hurt himself was a red flag that something's not right in the house. Especially the idols were scattered on the altar from stray cats’ accidental menace.

This has solidified our determination.

We have been trying to engage with a proper pastor to come cleanse and bless the house, but somehow, we never could fix a time when everyone was free. Seeing the situation got worse from my cousin's fall, we needed to expedite the process.

Finally, with the grace of God’s timing, we finally got @evergreen.min to help us as they were on their way to a local missionary trip in Cameron and agreed to layover in my hometown just for this.

We were so relieved that the date was set!

Little did we know that something more sinister and horror awaits us at my parents’ home

A dead cat!

The death of the stray cat that fell through the ceiling and got stuck in my parents’ room links all the dots together.
It died right beside my parents' bed.

There were scratches everywhere on the wall, realizing that it must have tried its very best to get out from the locked room but to no avail, and eventually died out of hunger after no one heard its cry, because after my cousin got hurt he never enter my parents’ home anymore. That’s why no one even knew about the cat, its death, and the stink.

Understanding the basic cleansing protocol, I prayed over the carcass and entire room, then removed the carcass that is infested with flesh-eating beetles, that somehow permeates a very weird fragrance, which smells like embalming cologne that is used for corpses. Even with full mask on, the stench of dead aroma was intense, moreover a few horror encounters when the beetles flew up to my ear because they were disturbed.

In the end I still managed to remove the approximately one-month-old harden carcass with 90% of the meat devoured by the full grown meat-eating beetles (not larva) leaving with just a layer of cat hair, cleaned the floor of the remaining “melted” flesh goo with floor cleaner, right before the house cleansing team arrived.

And like it or not, after the cleansing and blessing the home with the LORD’s presence, the home that once had trouble having the scorching afternoon sun shine in entirely up to the altar and all the rooms till the wet kitchen area, had a new “scent of fresh air”.

Even without turning on the lights, the whole house felt - clean, as my dad mentioned.

It was no longer a house that was infested with demons and death, but a home that will welcome love and life again.

Dad almost wanted to stay back and stay overnight even sleeping on the floor, but because the stench of the dead isn’t fully aired out and we already booked a room in a 2 star hotel closer to the city center, we managed to convince him that the house is yet fit to stay.

And for the first time after many weeks, my parents slept like a baby

No disturbing thoughts, no more uncomfortable sleeping night, just grateful sore muscles after a lot of sweeping on that old home.

Like it or not, whether you believe or not, I know for the fact that something evil definitely tried to kill my cousin, and successfully killed the cat, and right now, we are glad that it is no longer there.

We will visit the home again for more clean up and throwing more things away; this time, perhaps the LORD’s angel’s help, the house will be in a better state.

I didn’t take a lot of pictures as it was just feeling too eerie to take. I am not as brave as @slobberchops who is fascinated with abandoned homes. Haha.
