That was how it felt at the eve of the choir presentation for the 60th's anniversary event. Exhausted, stressed, tension, anxiety repeatedly invaded our minds; and continuous practices and prayers, fasting while taking on corrections cohesively thinking the right approach to respond to problems at hand.

So many times, I was down to my knees in total surrender to make the right decision for the choir without putting the blame game / throwing anyone under the bus in case of any screw up.

Standing firm and saying “no” with the words “I trust my team” while humbly speaking out that “I will take the responsibility for any screw ups” required courage, peace of God and determination.

No one should be felt isolated because 60% of the team comprises new and inexperienced volunteers who had the heart to serve just needed guidance from the ground up; and no one take this team for granted thinking they are all professionals with more than a decade experience.

It was so hard indeed... Not immediately responding to hard inquiries that I have to answer. And I thank God that faith put me through this fire of test.

I cannot say I am perfect, but I have learned to hold my fort from all the voices around, and take every single of my decision into accountability from the inception of this project.

Everyone had to learn from ground up

Newbies learning to catch up with the veterans, while the veterans need to give space and guide the newbies.

Commitment was crucial for key vocalists.

… Because this will pave a good example for generations to come; especially the kids who joined this choir.

Sweat, catching my breath, climbing up and down the block in order for my team to see me, not rushing off but take extra time to guide anyone who stumbled and was lagging behind is part of the job description. If they can’t nail this at least 80 – 90% on the eve of the presentation, then it truly needs a miracle from God’s intervention

And that was what I did, back into the quiet place of the Holy of Holies, faced down and almost in tears presenting every single obstacle course to the LORD.

I truly am grateful I have leaders who understood my predicament and stand while praying along with me, even hours before the big day, wee hours in the morning.

All hands on deck!

That’s what we called it – at the 11th hour.

Here’s the snippet of the video announcement for the eve of the event, for those who knew me personally will spot me there, trying not to fall off from the elevated block I was standing.
