A Retazos: La Final

Quedan horas para el inicio de la final de la pelota cubana y aquí, en Las Tunas, se habla ya más de eso que de los precios, las Mypimes y esas cosas. Cuando salí de La Habana, ví jugar al béisbol en muchos de esos sitios donde antes los niños pateaban balones. Es el poder de la pelota, que no en vano es deporte nacional y patrimonio, aunque a ratos la maltratemos; aunque a veces se nos olvide.

Dicho esto y con ese sábado 5 de agosto en el que mi prima cumple 33 años (! Felicidades!) a la vuelta de la esquina, les cuento cosas:

Industriales y Las Tunas se han enfrentado 202 veces en la historia de las series nacionales, y mandan los azules con 120 triunfos por 82 de los verdirojos.

Ahora, en los últimos 10 años la balanza del enfrentamiento particular se inclina ligeramente para los del Oriente de Cuba que suman 39 victorias por 37 los de la capital del país.

En post temporada solo 1 vez,: aquella disputada semifinal de la serie 57 dónde los tuneros ganaron 4-3, con triunfos en el juego 1, 3, 4, 6 y 7. Casi siempre, viniendo de abajo y casi siempre también aprovechando a Vladimir García que cargó con 3 de esas derrotas.
Hay un total de 12 peloteros que han vestido ambas franelas. El primero Luis Alberto Estrada, y los más recientes Yasiel Santoya y Jorge Enrique Aloma, campeones con Las Tunas en la SN58 que podrían titularse con Industriales en esta ocasión.

Por delante hay un camino duro, para unos y otros. Son equipos que tienen armas que se asemejan desde sus diferencias.

Los abridores del día 1: Alejandro Meneses y Silvano Hechevarría.

Meneses, líder indiscutible del staff oriental, llega tras 12 entradas de actuación ante Matanzas en las que permitió una sola carrera y fue sucia.

Silvano, que de Las Tunas conoce mucho porque de crió en tierra de leñadores, lanzó 6 inings en dos partidos que perdió y fue castigado por los santiagueros que le marcaron en total 8 CL. La designación del joven ha sorprendido a muchos, y yo solo piwnso en el viejo adagio que reza 'no hay peor cuña que la del mismo palo'. Ya veremos si se cumple...

De las claves de ambos elencos y de cómo desembarcan en la final prevista para iniciarse este sábado 5 en el Julio Antonio Mella dialogaremos en #laprevia que tiene prevista Cubavision Internacional antes de arrancar con la transmisión EN VIVO de cada partido de la gran final de la serie nacional #62 de la pelota cubana.

There are hours left before the start of the Cuban baseball final and here, in Las Tunas, there is more talk about that than about prices, Mypimes and those things. When I left Havana, I saw baseball being played in many of those places where children used to kick balls. It is the power of the ball, which is not in vain a national sport and patrimony, although at times we mistreat it; although sometimes we forget.
