My Actifit Report Card: January 12 2024
It was very cold today. I went for a short walk with Doggie and tested out the clothing I will be playing in on Sunday. I felt warm enough, but my hands were a bit cold when using my friction gloves. These gloves are thin and useful for throwing discs with but are not all that warm. I think it will be a bit warmer on Sunday, so I should be fine. I have some hand warmers that will be very helpful in the cold weather too. I like to keep my throwing hand as warm as possible so that it is easier to grip the disc.
The battery-powered hand warmers are wonderful to keep in my pocket in cold weather. The pair I have are small but last the entire round. If your fingers or toes get cold, they are nice to have around to warm them up around the house, too.
I did a lot of indoor disc golf putting practice, too. Having the practice basket in the house works out nicely.
I'm planning to take it easy tomorrow as well. I don't like doing a lot in the cold weather and want to rest up for Sunday's tournament.
It was nice and sunny today, and the solar panels produced over 15 kWh of electricity. The heat pump could not keep the house warm, though, and needed some help from the gas furnice.

Extremely cold today, we had 1.4°F!!!
I also switched to our gas furnace, heat pumps can only do so much!!

I'm running both the gas and the heat pump. The gas only occasionally turns on and the heat pump still puts out some heat even in this weather. Hopefully, it will get warmer and I can turn the gas back off. It sounds like you were colder, it is 10 F now.

Under twenty feet I almost always get it in the basket. If I throw through the door on a slightly longer throw I usually make it too. I have missed on occasion so I stopped using discs that might mark the walls. There is nothing too breakable nearby but I do need to be a bit careful.

They seem to do fine inside the house but I think it would be way too cold for them to survive for long outside.

The color looks so vibrant. You have a nice indoor plant, it adds life to the interior.
With these clothes you can warm your whole body and that's very good even if only your hands feel a little cold.

The cold weather makes you have to prepare everything for the tournament on Sunday, such as clothes, gloves so that you can overcome the cold, and of course even though the weather is not good you continue to practice to finalize everything for the Sunday tournament.
