My Actifit Report Card: December 13 2023
I played a difficult eighteen-hole round of disc golf today. It was partially in the woods and had some longer open holes as well.
I ended up with a win at +16 to +22 and +38 scores. The three of us had fun, but one of my friends lost a disc in a tree.
He was first on the tee, and the wind was starting to pick up. His throw looked a lot like what I try to do when I want to get the disc down close to the basket. Unfortunately, the wind got under the disc and pushed it into a tree way up from the ground. His second throw off the tee followed the same line but dropped down out of the tree.
After I saw what happened, I decided to throw a lower line to try to keep the disc out of the wind. It worked fine, and I ended up with par. It is really difficult to birdie this hole, so I was very happy with my throw considering the wind. If I was first on the tee, I might have made the same error. I have lost discs in the same tree on the same type of throw - a high floating anhyer. If you throw it just right, you can get in the range of a long putt for birdie.

It was such a fun day of course to be on the golf course today with your friends, and as usual you won this round, but something undesirable happened to your friend who lost the disc there. Hopefully it can be found again and you don't repeat a similar throw. ,
