My Actifit Report Card: November 11 2023
I just did a short walk with Doggie today and mostly rested around the house.
There were some weeds growing in a crack by the garage that I needed to remove as well. I think the weeds were conflicting with the rain water drainage because when the garage door was opened, the pooled water would go into the garage. I think that it should drain better now, but you never know.
Rather odd looking white orbs came down from the sky today:
These things melted away in the rain after a short time period. I have to wonder a bit if the solar panels will get damaged with this stuff in case it starts happening around here with increasing frequency, lol.

I was wondering what those white things are, initially, I thought those were pebbles 😅
They sounded like pebbles when they hit the roof. It was a rather unusual occurrence around here.
Hail it seems. They may look small but being hit by those will still hurt for sure 🥶
I was caught once in Colorado in a hailstorm on my motorcycle. Not the most fun thing to have happen, lol. So long as the big ones don't come down that's what helmets and leather jackets are for right? 🤔

Yikes…. that’s a good question about the hail and solar panels. Especially if they have glass on them. I always worry about my car getting all dented in the hail storms we have up here in Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦
I've not heard that much about how hail-resistant the solar panels are. I've never seen golf ball or baseball-sized hail around here so hopefully things will be fine. I've had my car all dented up with mirrors broken when parked outside on a business trip in Colorado but the weather there is a lot different than it is here.

Hey, I'll call you next time, lol. 👍😀😜 What really needs to be done now is mowing the grass. It has been raining so much that I have been procrastinating on mowing it. Maybe if it dries out tomorrow for a few hours I will get to it.

They tell me you can walk on solar panels, we have had several heavy hail storms with no problem it's all tempered glass!😇😀

I bet Doggie enjoyed the walk! I wouldn't worry about the hail unless it becomes golf ball size! We've been hailed on with some pretty good sized hail before in the past and it has never hurt them before.

Hope Doggie enjoys his short trip with you! Clearing weeds around the garage will certainly help overcome drainage problems. The presence of a strange white object in the sky is attracting attention—hopefully it won't have a bad effect on the solar panels. Stay alert and continue doing positive activities around the house! Are the white flakes snow? I saw there were so many there, I also thought that solar panels have the resistance to being hit by snowflakes?

Hail needs to be at least 1½" in diameter to cracked a solar panel. But they are covered by your home owners insurance...

Nice information to know 👍 I am not sure about making a claim for a panel though.
When the hail is big enough to damage a panel you'll also need a new roof. Insurance will also pay for that. I'm a storm chaser in the summer lol
