I did a lot of hiking today. There are many good trails around the campsite.
Some alge in the lake:
Doggie wanted to go for a swim, but this alge could be toxic, so I did not let him.
He has been taking a lot of naps today.

There are lots of green algae in the waters.

That's cool. Been a long time I went for hiking. Haha, I'm sure Doggie must have been exhausted that's why he decided to take some nap😄

Yes, I think your dog would have come out of that lake with a very nice neon green glow. Would look good for Halloween maybe. We also avoid the green algae when we take our Golden Retriever out for a swim.

Wow! You've had an adventurous day on your hike! It's definitely a wise decision to keep your Doggie away from potentially toxic algae. As for naps, they are certainly a great way for humans and pets to recharge after a long day outdoors!

It seems like you and your dog really enjoyed camping this time, and I think it was a good choice for you not to allow your dog to bathe there, besides the poisonous alge there might be other things living there,
