My Actifit Report Card: February 28 2022
I played a nine hole disc golf course with another guy today. As I was warming up I noticed him head over to hole one and throw a disc into the ditch. I asked him if he would like some company since I was just about to start too and he let me play with him.
I threw a disc forehand thinking it was the safer play but it hyzered hard and did not turn left at all and faded hard skipping off the sloping ground into the ditch. Both of us started with a bogey, with the out of bounds penalty but at least we both got our discs back because the ditch was frozen.
On the rest of the round we were pretty evenly matched and it was a lot of fun to play together and we had a wonderful conversation. On one of the longer holes he hit the bottom of the basket off a ground skip from the tee. I was very empressed.
We did not score the round but I think I might have won. My putt was doing unusually well today.

Most of the snow has melted by today and the weather was sunny and in the 60 degree F range. I was getting a bit warm in my hoodie.

I sure enjoy disc golf it motivates me to get some exercise and meet people.
Wow ... that snow lasted a long time.
It was a bit of colder weather but not like it was.
I remember that when I was a child growing up around here the snow lasted even longer and the lake by my house froze so hard you could drive a vehicle on it.
Did you ice skate?
When we first moved to Colorado my dad purchased a nice brand new pair of ice skates and we had fun skating on the lake that was cleared of snow. I think I borrowed a used pair of skates or something, I don't recall exactly. Unfortunately my dad fell down and broke his arm on the first skate, thus ending his skating. My mom and I went a few more times but after a few years the lake never froze as hard. I sort of recall and accident where a snowplow fell through the ice and the city stopped encouraging the skating but details are fuzzy.
Oh goodness ... I grew up on the Prairies and so ice skating was an almost everyday thing in the winter; not much else to do but the neighbourhood park always a had a free rink.

Snow is gone for awhile at least. There might be some more coming by the weekend.
Oh, I really want to go on vacation there but for the comment credit, there's not even enough money.
I like travelling too but it is out of the budget for me as well.

That's neat that you came across someone to play with (that sounds like children, doesn't it?) ...and that you were nearly evenly matched causing it to be a really fun game.
I like the fact that you can have fun both by yourself and when playing with other people. You start to get to know a lot of the local players who are active if you play long enough. Once you have played with someone a lot you can spot them from a mile away and recognise them by their moves and the way they throw. It does remind me of children in certain ways.

Nice to know you had a lot of fun playing today. The mind can be kept cheerful through play. You have done a lot of beautiful photography. Especially the color of the sky looks amazing.
The sky here in Colorado is often cloudless and blue. Back home this time of year it is much different with more clouds. I like it both ways.
First of all I want to congratulate you on your solid friendship with your new friend because I read in the post that you really enjoyed playing with him today.
Then secondly it's nice to see that you're back to playing your favorite game after the snow starts to melt so your days will be more excited for sure.
And the third is about cool photography and an amazing blue sky.

The snow have little in your area in some places.
