My Actifit Report Card: February 11 2022
It was supposed to start snowing around 11 so I decided to play disc golf since the last snow had mostly melted and I had not played for awhile. I was not thinking of scoring the round since the conditions were poor but I did alright on the first hole so I decided to score it.
Hole one teepad on a slightly snowy Colorado nine hole disc golf course:
The ditch was mostly frozen over so I decided to take a risky (for me) line and try the hyzer approach. I usually play the anhyzer line but it is difficult to even get par because you need to make a perfect throw but at least messing up doesn't result in going in the ditch.
I picked my flippy 160 gram Wraith to throw since it flies great in Colorado. It did fly great but was a bit too flippy even in the thin mountain air. It did not hold the hyzer line enough and ended up skipping off the ice in the ditch.
I got incredibly lucky and the disc ended up upside down and in bounds:
Just a little bit of the disc ended up on dry land keeping it in bounds. It ended up pin high but a fair distance right of the basket. Just getting it pin high was a bit of a victory for me because the trees and ditch give me trouble.
Next time I might risk throwing one of my more stable expensive discs but I would hate to lose one in the ditch. Even with the ice the disc could slip into the water by the edge and get lost underneath. Or it could end up in the middle of the ice. If that happened yours truly might be tempted to skip gracefully across the ice scooping up the disc to the sound cracking noises to slide safely to the otherside.
What could possibly go wrong? Lol 😆 😄😁
(A better plan would be to use a long stick to get it but where's the fun in that?)

It is seen that there is a lot of snow in the field. It looks very nice.
That is cool, your game is getting better, hope you are all well there.
Do you really like golf and how many golf discs do you have?
Nice activity today, it's freezy weather, and Doggie looks so happy...😏
Grateful! Indeed, playing in the freezing cold of Colorado is very difficult to play to its full potential given the slippery icy surface as seen in the photography you shared.
However, it is good to know that luck is still on your side.
And it's also nice to know that you enjoyed today's game even among the cold, frozen ice.
Enjoy your day there!
Maybe the weather is a little unfavorable, and you see a lot of snow on your golf course. I salute you, even though the weather is so cold you still try to play it
you capture a wonderful picture.
