My Actifit Report Card: December 13 2021

The usual walking around for me and Doggie today. The weather was the usual cold grey sky look. The wind is picking up again as I write this.

I spent some time writing some more on an another longer format article.

Tonight's dinner:

A yummy lentil soup.

Really worth a watch:

(This link shared under Youtube license and is not my work.)

The previous video has some really good news. If the technologies mentioned turn out to work well it could help remove CO2 from the atmosphere and reduce the need for farmland by some 90%. We could end up producing carbohydrate closer to where it is consumed and that would save a lot of energy.

Carbohydrate is a basic building block for the plant world. A lot of products could potentially be built from it like glue, simple sugars, cardboard?

Thanks for reading! I always value your support and comments. The pictures were taken by me with my Galaxy S9+. Text and graphics copyright lightsplasher & litesplasher.

It is more reminiscent of a green lentil dish rather than a lentil soup I would like to try different

Hmm delicious! I think it's a good choice and right in the middle of cloudy and cold weather. Delicious and nutritious and very suitable for consumption to warm the body. In addition, as far as I know lentils have a high amount of fiber and protein.

Beautiful photography. From the color, you can already imagine the delicacy.

Your supper looks delish !!

I don't know about those new fangledee things. Seems every time someone starts messing with the "natural", they make something un-natural that ends up causing some sort of illness. What's wrong with growing in the land where things were made to grow ?? !

Time will tell.

Well we have been messing with "natural" since the start of the industrial revolution and now we a very unnatural condition where carbon dioxide in the air is has exceeded levels last seen around 150 million years ago ??? (Might be worth a fact check my memory is crap, but the point is there.)

Actually we are clearing a lot of rain forest to grow things. Once this forest is cleared it will likely not grow back because the conditions it needs to grow have changed so much. Additionally, there are a lot of places where it is impractical to grow things any longer hence the problem with refugees. If this technology works it could save a lot of land from being needed for agriculture.

If nothing else this directly produced carbohydrate perhaps could be used for the paper products we so enjoy putting down the commode, lol. Or maybe a rice paper type product we could write on or cheap edible packing peanuts. There are a host of other none edible products it could produce too and it would reduce the need for harvesting many trees. There are so many trees being cut down right now it makes be sad really.

I actually don't recommend a diet high in refined carbohydrate. That's a good way to get diabetes or other issues. But I think anything we can do to start pulling the extra C02 out of the air and start making the things we enjoy in a more sustainable way would be great.

Sorry to be so long winded, I just got a bit excited about the technology.
