Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge with Going the Distance

Splinterlands one of the best card battle game on hive blockchain. This week BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge is Going the Distance. This challenge is easy and also requires some basic understanding of cards used in battle. In this ruleset only units with ranged attacks may be used. Consider including units with the Close Range and Return Fire abilities in our lineup. As in this battle Monsters with Ranged attack are very helpful so so I decided to use some strong ranged attack monsters with high health. In this battle used "Venari Marksrat" as tank card having 2 health with martyr ability so if this tank card kills then 2nd tank increase all states to one. In this battle I used one life leech ability card and one stun and close range ability card. This battle was low mana 19 so I decided to use some strong back line cards. This battle was fire vs fire summoners.

1. Only Monsters with Ranged attack may be used in battles.

2. All Monsters have the Knock Out ability.

As battle was low mana so I decided to use some extra abilities cards and also try to fill all spots but only succeeded to fill 3 spots in this battle. I decided to use some strong back line cards having life leech and stun ability. I used "Venari Marksrat" as tank with one ranged attack, 2 health and martyr ability. On 2nd position I used "Lava Launcher" 4 ranged, 7 shield and 6 health with tank heal and stun ability. On 3rd position I used "Pyrewatch Devil" two ranged attack and 4 health with life leech ability. So in this battle all monsters have the Knock Out ability, so monsters does double damage when attacking an enemy monster that is stunned. I am very happy with my team and if my tank card survives then my other cards will destroy the enemy team monsters. Let’s discuss my team one by one.

Venari Marksrat

I used Venari Marksrat Rare neutral Unit as a tank card. This card has one range attack and two health with martyr ability. I used this card on tank position in low mana fights as if this card dies then my next card increase all stats to one.

Lava Launcher

On 2nd position I used Lava Launcher Epic fire Unit with close range and stun ability. I always use this card in all mana fights because of its stun ability and 6 health. If my card tank card dies then this card increase all states and as this also has close range ability so this ranged attack card works well on tank position.

Pyrewatch Devil

On 3rd position I used Pyrewatch Devil Rare fire Unit. This card has two ranged attacks and 4 health with life leech ability. I always used this card as my back line card as this card increase health when any monster card dies so this is very helpful in this battle.

So my strategy in this battle was very simple as in this battle I mostly rely on my close range and life leech ability cards. I used "Venari Marksrat" as my tank card and hope that this card dies soon so my 2nd card increase all states and eliminate enemy cards quickly with massive 5 ranged attack. If my tank card survives some rounds then hope my other cards could eliminate enemy's back line monsters. My stun and life leech ability cards are very strong so they can do some damage to enemy back line monsters cards and also eliminate enemy tank card. I think in this battle my close range card performed well and hoped "Lava Launcher" survived till end of the battle. Also hoped that my cards could not miss any attack and did proper damage to enemy back line monsters. Overall my entire back line cards did 6 ranged attack damage to enemy team. This battle lasted for 4 rounds.

My strategy paid off and my all cards performed well. Our today's battle challenge with "Going the Distance" successfully completed. In this battle my enemy brought a strong fire team with Yodin Zaku summoner. Yodin Zaku is a winner card and gave many abilities to his monster card during fight. It is hard to beat this summoner in low mana battle but I succeeded to defeat it in 4th round without losing any card. I liked this new change of weekly battle challenge from monsters to ruleset, so we can learn some new methods how to tackle enemy in any specific ruleset. You can watch this battle on My Battle link.
