My Actifit Report Card: November 21 2024:Alive and Thriving Thursday, and another flat!
Hello friends and happy Thursday evening I want to wish you and also thank you for your visit!
This is a report for today's activities! The step count looks good enough and I am not going to do much more today so...
"The time is right"!
Most of the steps are from walking - not my two "failed" bike rides!
So after my normal morning, feeding Kitties, and some house chores I thought I should put some miles on the Black bike since I put in a new "Slime" tube yesterday...
I rode around the streets here and suddenly the rear tire was going down again!
I went home and remembered I had some "Slime" self stick patches. I tried this out and headed back out again...
I made it over to the Park, on the way I saw these beauties still blooming,
And a single flower I think came out well,
Amazing they are blooming in November!
Yes they are Sunflowers!
I made it to the Park and the Sun was starting to go down,
A Seagull is cruising around, looking...
This is a look at the Shade Structure, and the Fishing Pier. Beautiful Blue Skies,
Here is another Seagull passing the Shade Structure,
Here is the water fountain - and a look towards Mustang Island, no Clouds anywhere!
This is a look from the one parking area towards the other and the Pier,
You can see all the Seagrass that has washed up over the last day,
The Sun was going down a bit further, so I wanted to see if I could find anything more interesting,
(I was trying to get the Sun on the wire - like a Pearl on a string, I got close).
So I thought I will ride around and see what else is going on, and get the "step-count" up.
Here I made it to N.A.S. Drive,
And thought (the beginning of a "bad idea") OK, I can make it to the Pier, and then down the Channel and it should work with Sundown....
Well I headed back down the street and suddenly the tire went "Flat"! I mean almost "immediately". I couldn't believe it myself!
Take a look at the back tire..
Well, I am now am going to get a new set of tires and tubes. I think my error is a compounded one. I put the tires and tubes on in 2010. My goal was no at least run the back one bald. It didn't happen - even after 5500 miles / 8851 kilometers!
Well I recently raised the tire pressure a bit. It seems that the whole time the tires have been picking up things, and increasing the pressure just pushed them out. Sounds crazy, but I think I am on to something.
So...
I pushed the bike a little over a half mile / 804 meters back home, which "did" help the step-count.
And other than a few more chores around the house that was today!
Thank you again for your visit, and wishing you a Very Blessed, Happy, and Safe Friday and Weekend!
