My Actifit Report Card: June 21 2024:Alive and Thriving - "Storm Remnants!
Hello friends and happy Friday evening I wish you and want to thank you for your visit!
This is a report for today's activities, for a change. I am over the "5000" step count and I don't see it get much higher today!
So today was interesting! I took out both bikes and all together took 3 bike rides, and got some "aftermath" photos from the Tropical Storm "Alberto"!
So my first ride out, and it did start drizzling - as it did on the second ride as well.
But first, I went and fed the Kitties at the old house. This was the road along the Shoreline I normally take. Here I make a right and drive the Coast - "not today"!
The road was closed!
I drove the long way inland and back out.
After that excitement I made it back home. Skies looked good,
So I headed out on trip one, and was met with this sign in the way to the Park,
And if we look way down there we can see the Gulf coming up the street!
Then it started drizzling so I headed home.
After awhile it looked promising so I headed back out.
This is a bit better view of the Park road,
And over towards our Water Treatment Plant. The grass is how far the water came up from the Gulf,
This is a parking lot I normally stop at,
A little closer and the water is still up to the Picnic tables,
And a look back up the road, the Stream is at its limits,
The Shade Structure and part of the Pier are also under water,
Some people taking advantage of the situation,
The whole family,
Actually with the road closed it was surprising to see so many people there. I guess some thought it would be good for fishing and others were curious.
I left there and decided to ride down the Channel.
I did not get too far as this is the end of my street,
So I gave up and went home.
And that's where the numbers came from today.
Thanks again for your visit and wishing you a Very Blessed, Happy, and Safe weekend!

Wow I hope you're not directly affected by the storm. I guess coastal places are at risk these days, and it's best to live farther inland (away from major bodies of water). Stay safe and dry. Thank you for the updates esp. after the storm.
