The New Gym

I started at a new gym this week. The reason I joined a new gym was because my old gym took 12 minutes to drive to and was on the one of the high streets of town.

The new gym is practically perfect but it does have a few flaws, such as firstly they do not have a calf raise machine, leg press machine or a leg curl machine. Secondly the dumbbells only go up to 25kgs and also the free weights to add to the bars are limited in supply, so it’s quite difficult to find the right weights or if someone else is using a lot of weight then you have to wait for them to finish, so you can use the weights for your exercise.

However I am trying to make the most of it by doing variation exercises and coming at different times to see when the gym is quiet. Plus the fact that it’s so close to my house and saves me travel time is the ultimate benefit.

We discovered this gym just by driving past one day - and one thing I have to add is that it is brand new and everything is spotlessly clean - so that makes up for a lot as well.
