I have to say we weren't on top form last night in a scrappy game against Crystal Palace who pushed us hard throughout the game.

It's been the same all season as we just lack that creativity in the final third and that's not just down to missing Bamford. As the game wore on last night I admit to getting a bit nervy but a rejuvenated defence thanks to the return of Cooper had firm. His partnership with Llorente is paying dividends but Llorente needs to get out of this bad habit of shirt pulling, its only a matter of time before he gives away a penalty at a crucial time.

I'll take the point, we still sit 3 clear of Burnley and 5 clear of Everton who have a game in hand. Another clean sheet is something to take away, especially after the huge number we let in earlier in the season. Man City on Saturday, talking of who...

It's the first of the first leg Champions League semi-finals tonight as City entertain a Real Madrid side who are 15 points clear of Barcelona at the top of La Liga.

Last years loss in the final to Chelsea must have hurt and City will be all out to make amends to take home the one trophy that has so far eluded them.

Injuries are not too much of a worry for City with only John Stones and Kyle Walker a doubt but Cancelo is suspended. Pep will want a strong performance and solid home win before the return leg at the Bernabau on May 4th.

There was obviously no first goal scorer or time of the first goal so that post now goes up to 20k! Funny how it got won three times in the first week and never since which is how I hoped it would be.
