West Brom continued with their stuttering vein of form and lack of ability in front of goal on Friday night as they played out a 0-0 no-score bore with the equally toothless Nottingham Forest.

Yesterday, Leeds managed to hold the high-flying Brighton to a 0-0 draw which wasn't a bad result considering the league positions. Elsewhere, Liverpool thumped Southampton 3-0 to push them into 2nd, Norwich drew in another boring 0-0 and Newcastle lost...again! Shame!

It's today though that the big games are taking place and so we turn to...

I will be honest. Despite me not liking Chelsea, I have a sneaking admiration for Thomas Tuchel who has worked miracles since he arrived and they deservedly sit atop the Premier League and, obviously I love to see Man. U get hammered by anyone!

Chelsea have won all but one of the 12 league games this season conceding just 4 goals in the process which is impressive enough but that becomes even more impressive when you consider they have also scored almost an average of 3 goals a home game. They are looking unbeatable and unstoppable in their quest for honours.

The only downside is that top defender, Ben Chilwell suffered an ACL injury and will be out for the long term.

Man.U. Oh dear, lol! They are in big trouble and the appointment of temporary boss Michael Carrick isn't going to help shore them up. I'd have thought they would have had a replacement ready to step in before sacking Solkjaer but obviously not.

Maguire is suspended. Cavani, Fred and Shaw are injured and Pogba and Varane are 'unavailable'! As for Fernandes, he hasn't scored a goal in their last 14 appearances. It's going to be a bloodbath (he said gleefully!).

I'm looking forward to this one.

The Small Print

In the first goalscorer competition, own goals do not count. In the correct score competition, it's the score after 90mins. Extra time and penalties do not count and the pot for each competition will roll over if there is no winner. If more than one person chooses the same first goal scorer or correct score, the prize is shared, and everyone gets a little upvote! It seems I also need to add, one entry per person. Don't forget the new rule that only people with a rep of 50 or above are eligible to enter unless they have been approved. The bonus will be added to any winnings ONLY if Leeds United win and/or Man U lose and all pay-outs will never exceed 50% of post-pay-out. Other bonuses are paid out at my discretion.
