In a great game that belied the 0-0 scoreline, Senegal finally lifted the African Cup of Nations with Mane getting the decisive penalty in a nailbiting shootout after the score had finished level after extra time.

I was really rooting for Senegal after two previous final, heart breaking losses and although they haven't been the most glamerous or prettiest teams to watch, have been organised, disciplined and worked hard.

The Egyptians will have a chance for revenge in a few weeks when these sides meet again in the two legged play-off to claim a place at the Qatar 2022 World Cup!

Bilboa currenty sit in 8th place ue to a sweet run of form that has seen them win their last three league games before earning a place in the semi-finals of the Copa del Ray with a fine 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid last week.

The elephant in the room is their poor home form which has seen them only win 4 out of 10 home fixtures. Improvements need to be made if they're to kick on towards a European place.

Espanyol sit 5 places but only 4 points behind Bilbao in the table and a much needed away win would help propel them up the table. Espanyol ought to be fresh legged coming into tonights game after not having played since a 1-4 home defeat to Real Betis back on January the 21st which was the third in a series of games without a win.

The match could be very close and focused on fitness levels with both teams having a full squad to select from.

Prediction: Athletic Bilboa 1 : 1 Espanyol - First goal scorer: Berenguer

The Small Print

In the first goalscorer competition, own goals do not count. In the correct score competition, it's the score after 90mins. Extra time and penalties do not count and the pot for each competition will roll over if there is no winner. If more than one person chooses the same first goal scorer or correct score, the prize is shared, and everyone gets a little upvote! It seems I also need to add, one entry per person. Don't forget the new rule that only people with a rep of 50 or above are eligible to enter unless they have been approved. The bonus will be added to any winnings ONLY if Leeds United win and/or Man U lose and all pay-outs will never exceed 50% of post-pay-out. Other bonuses are paid out at my discretion.

Last time out we featured The Swans versus the Hatters and Luton took the away win 0-1 (which I predicted!) with Cornick scoring the first goal.
Annnnnnnnd no one got the either the right score or first goal scorer so the pot rises up today to make a reasonable 24500 tokens in total.
