Postcards from Thailand #16: My Acti-Just-Get-A-Bigger-Truck Report Card: May 4 2023

Travelling up and down between Bangkok and Samui, we see some strange sights on the road...

Take this truck for example. I have no doubt that it's a huge pain to transport lightweight plastic water tanks around but I'm guessing someone must have worked out the economics of the operation and decided that this way is the cheapest.

The thing is, there is no way this is legal but during the ride down, even the half a dozen police check points you pass through aren't manned these days and with almost no mobile units, the chance of getting nicked is zero.

Back in the UK, it wouldn't get a mile down the M1 without becoming a feature length episode of 'Police, Camera, Action'!

I'm truly speechless. I'll just leave the picture there and you come up with your own funny captions.

Anyway, some big numbers today can only mean one thing...an incoming 'gardening' post coming soon! Don't get too excited.
